Tree Planting in Devon at Woodah Farm

Woodah Farm is on the very edge of Dartmoor in the Teign valley, adjacent to Devon Wildlife Trust's Scanniclift Copse nature reserve.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

Woodah Farm is on the very edge of Dartmoor in the Teign valley, adjacent to Devon Wildlife Trust's Scanniclift Copse nature reserve.

It comprises 140 acres of semi-improved grassland, much of it steeply sloping. There are spectacular views from the plateau at the top.

Lots of work has been done on the farm but many of the old hedgerows had run wild and needed restoration.

Some have been restored and some new hedges have been laid.

An orchard of more than forty traditional Devon apple tree has also been planted.
