Tree Planting in Surrey at Milberry Green Meadows

Milberry Green Meadows is a small glamping / smallholding site in Surrey. The site is a former equestrian area that is being transformed with a variety of native tree species.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

This is a private woodland and can be visited by appointment only. Please email glamping@milberrygreen.co.uk (with the subject "Woodland Visit") to make an appointment.

Milberry Green Meadows was previously a plain, equestrian field and the new owners are regenerating the 7 acres of land with a variety of natives tree species.

This includes connecting wildlife corridors and hedgerows to give local wildlife more access to shelter and food sources.

The site is a good habitat for the protected brown hairstreak butterfly, which particularly favours blackthorn trees.

Being located at almost the highest point in Surrey, 750 meters above sea level, the area has great views across the Surrey countryside.

The owners focus on conservation and appreciation of nature and they run a weekly Nature Rangers walk to teach their guests about the native species on site.

They have a vibrant birdlife on their site, including a booming population of listed red kites.

Milberry Green has a selection of luxury Bell Tents and Shepherds Huts that you can stay in. To find out more, and book a stay, visit milberrygreen.co.uk
