Lafrowda Common

Tree Planting in Cornwall at Lafrowda Common

Lafrowda Common is an area of land that is being planted with a mix of native broadleaf species.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

This is a private woodland and can be visited by appointment only. Please email contact@eforests.co.uk to make an appointment.

Lafrowda Common runs adjacent to the main road into St. Just and is a former conifer plantation.

Penwith Tree Planters started to re-plant the area with 210 mainly native species in 2021 and, working with EFORESTS, will be continuing this project during the 2022 / 2023 planting season.

A wide variety of native, British trees species have been planted throughout the area, improving its biodiversity.

This will create new wildlife habitats and corridors as well as providing food and nectar sources for birds and other animals.
