Tree Planting in Hertfordshire at Home Farm
Home Farm is a former arable farm that has been converted to woodland and meadows.
IMPORTANT VISITOR INFO – Take only photos. Leave only footsteps.
To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.
Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.
* THIS WOODLAND IS Temporarily Full *
We’ve planted so many trees here that there isn’t any space to plant more.
We hope to be able to plant here again in future years.

Home Farm was a small arable farm, near Elstree in Hertfordshire, that has been taken out of production to create a woodland, meadow and glamping area.
Some of the fields are still use to produce hay but the majority of the space is being devoted to wildlife and conservation.
Since early 2022 a wide variety of native, British trees and a mix of hedgerow species have been planted throughout the fields.
This will create vital wildlife habitats and corridors as well as providing food and nectar sources for birds and other animals.
