Tree Planting in Cambridgeshire at Hinchingbrooke Country Park
Hinchingbrooke Country Park covers 170 acres of open grasslands, mature woodland and lakes.
IMPORTANT VISITOR INFO – Take only photos. Leave only footsteps.
To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.
Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.
It is a great place to visit for families, nature spotters, dog walkers and those who wish to enjoy the great outdoors. The Park has three main habitats - wetland, grassland and woodland – which are home to a great variety of wildlife.
Hinchingbrooke Country Park, which opened in 1989, is managed by Huntingdonshire District Council. Three park rangers are supported by an active team of volunteers and a Friends group.
The woodland areas are managed to maintain safe visitor access, and maintain and improve varied wildlife habitats. There has been an active tree planting programme over the years along with after-care of the trees.
The District Council have plans for a major investment in the Country Park to ensure its sustainable future.
