Tree Planting in Cornwall at Hillside Farm

Hillside Farm is an area of land that is being planted with a mix of native broadleaf species.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Half way between Penzance and Land's End, Hillside Farm is transforming a 13 acre pasture field by planting trees to create shelter belts and a working coppice. Some of the trees are being planted in hedgerows that will shelter an organic vegetable market garden.

A wide variety of native, British trees species have been planted throughout the area, improving its biodiversity.

This will create new wildlife habitats and corridors as well as providing food and nectar sources for birds and other animals.

Tree Species at Hillside Farm

Since 2022 EFORESTS has worked with the land owners and local volunteers to plant 1700 new native tree species.
