Heaven Sculpture Yard
Tree Planting on the Norfolk / Suffolk border at Heaven Sculpture Yard
Heaven Sculpture Yard is a 10 acre former agricultural field, that was once used as an air field for the Americans in WW2. More trees are being planted around the yard to create new wildlife corridors and improve biodiversity.
IMPORTANT VISITOR INFO – Take only photos. Leave only footsteps.
To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.
Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.
* THIS WOODLAND IS Temporarily Full *
We’ve planted so many trees here that there isn’t any space to plant more.
We hope to be able to plant here again in future years.

In the early 2000's the land was take on by sculptor Ben Platts-Mills and became what is now known as Heaven Sculpture Yard.
Heaven Sculpture Yard is now a functioning community which specialise is wood carvings of all kinds, and is proud to have worked with major institutions such as National Trust England, The Lee Valley and even appearing on the popular TV show, Grand Designs.
They also host a number of work shops for the public which are wood and stone carving orientated, soon we
they also plan to create workshops for hedge laying, weaving and bender building.
Planting more trees is not only to benefit Heaven Sculpture Yard and the public but to also play a role in putting more trees back on our planet.
More trees are being planted on the site to create a woodland which the artists can navigate with a small sculpture trail, free to all.
A wide variety of native, British trees species have been planted throughout the area.
This will create new wildlife habitats and corridors as well as providing food and nectar sources for birds and other animals.
