Tree Planting in Norfolk at Frenze Beck
Frenze Beck Nature Reserve, on the outskirts of Diss, lies on the Suffolk / Norfolk border.
IMPORTANT VISITOR INFO – Take only photos. Leave only footsteps.
To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.
Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.
* THIS WOODLAND IS Temporarily Full *
We’ve planted so many trees here that there isn’t any space to plant more.
We hope to be able to plant here again in future years.

Frenze Beck County Wildlife Reserve is a 30 acre site on the outskirts of Diss. A once forgotten corner of Diss, it has been transformed into a wildlife haven by a team of hardworking volunteers.
It is located adjacent to the Frenze Beck (an important tributary of the River Waveney) and can be accessed from Sawmills Road.
Many species of mammals, birds, butterflies, bats and insects have been recorded here in the last year or so.
A dedicated team of volunteers from the River Waveney Trust continues to work on the site, enhancing and maintaining it on behalf of South Norfolk District Council, working to a 10 year plan produced by an appointed ecologist.
