Tree Planting in Aberdeenshire at Easterbuchat Cottage

Easterbuchat Cottage is 12-acres of rough grazing land, in Aberdeenshire, that is being transformed with a new tree planting programme.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

The land is currently home to only a small variety of tree species such as Pine, Rowan, Birch and Cherry.

The addition of hundreds of native fruit trees, such as Crab Apple and Wild Pear, with enhance the area's biodiversity and create new food sources and shelter for wildlife.
