Tree Planting in Kent at Dane Valley Woods
IMPORTANT VISITOR INFO – Take only photos. Leave only footsteps.
To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.
Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

Dane Valley Woods is a voluntary organisation involved in fundraising and community engagement with the aim of developing a sustainable community-owned woodland at Dane Valley Road, Margate (in partnership with Thanet District Council and BTCV).
Dane Valley Woods is affiliated to Green Light Trust, who have developed an in-depth programme to help communities grow and manage their own working woodlands - for pleasure, learning, health and wildlife.
To date, and with the assistance of schools and the local community, Dane Valley Woods has helped to plant around 700 new trees (of varying indigenous species).
