Chestnuts Wood

Tree Planting in Norfolk at Chestnuts Wood

Chestnuts Wood is a new, small woodland created on part of the Chestnuts campsite and café site near Wymonham in Norfolk.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

The new trees planted at Chestnuts will help improve the area's biodiversity and provide shelter for wildlife.

The margins of the field are left so that the grasses and wildflowers can grow, attracting bees, butterflies and many other types of wildlife.

The trees are planted among the grounds surrounding Chestnuts Coffee Shop. You'll find a number of picnic benches dotted around the field, so you can sit among the trees to enjoy a coffee and lovely piece of cake when you visit.

The café is open from Wednesday to Sunday each week.
