Tree Planting in West Midlands at Burntwood Laund

Bunrtwood Laund is a community woodland on the outskirts of Lichfield in the West Midlands.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

The community woodland, on the site of a former sewage treatment works, is now wholly returned to open pasture and semi natural woodland.

A wide variety of native, British trees and a mix of hedgerow species have been planted throughout the area.

This will create vital wildlife habitats and corridors as well as providing food and nectar sources for birds and other animals.

You can even see some, relatively tame, deer wandering around the woodland!
