Badgers Food Forest is a new community woodland on the outskirts of Penzance.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Badgers Food Forest is a new woodland aiming for a mosaic or planted areas around a former arable field.
The field, with distant sea views towards Penzance and St Michael's Mount, is being transformed by local volunteers into a community food growing hub.
First steps have been to plant a variety of native tree species to establish windbreak areas.
The space will also be used for community food growing, based on permaculture principles.
Their projects will be focused on sustainable, healthy food production and other nature enhancing activities that are beneficial to the local community and the planet.
The design of is "access for all", with all facilities being designed for less mobile visitors.
A wide variety of native, British trees species have been planted throughout the area, improving its biodiversity.
This will create new wildlife habitats and corridors as well as providing food and nectar sources for birds and other animals.

Since 2024 EFORESTS has worked with the land owners and local volunteers to plant 630 new native tree species.
