Nene Valley Park
Tree Planting on the Cambridgeshire / Lincolnshire border at Nene Valley Park
Nene Park has a wide variety of landscapes including meadows, lakes and woodland - all less than three miles from Peterborough's busy city centre.
* THIS WOODLAND IS Temporarily Full *
We’ve planted so many trees here that there isn’t any space to plant more.
We hope to be able to plant here again in future years.
For the nearest alternative woodlands take a look at the Woodlands Locations Map.
IMPORTANT VISITOR INFO – Take only photos. Leave only footsteps.
To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.
Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.
Ferry Meadows is the 200ha (500acre) Country Park at the heart of Nene Park.
Its lakes, meadows, woodlands and riverside make it a favourite destination for many visitors throughout the year. Ferry Meadows offers the widest range of activities of all the sites.
Thorpe Meadows is home to the Sculpture Park, riverside walks and a purpose built rowing lake within a 15 minute walk of the city centre.
Orton Mere links Ferry Meadows to Thorpe Meadows. It offers lakes, open space for recreation and a Nene Valley Railway Station.
Woodston Reach is a wooded area which offers opportunities for walking and nature viewing.
Ailsworth, Castor & Sutton form the Neve Park Trust's agricultural estate containing a network of footpaths to explore to the west of Ferry Meadows.
