Tree Planting in Derbyshire at Matlock Farm Park
Matlock Farm Park offers farmyard fun for all ages, all year round, in the fresh air and tranquillity of the Derbyshire countryside.
* THIS WOODLAND IS Temporarily Full *
We’ve planted so many trees here that there isn’t any space to plant more.
We hope to be able to plant here again in future years.
For the nearest alternative woodlands take a look at the Woodlands Locations Map.
IMPORTANT VISITOR INFO – Take only photos. Leave only footsteps.
To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.
Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.
Matlock Farm Park has a wide range of lovely animals to meet, feed and cuddle. They also have a riding school and offer lessons or hacking for all abilities as well as short pony rides.
Two areas of broadleaf woodland are being created at the farm as mostly pine forest borders the property on one side.
Bow Springs is a new woodland area planted around a new duck pond, providing shelter, encouraging wild birds and helping drainage. Bow Springs will also be used for educational purposes during school visits and a weekly kids club.
Hideout Woods spans the corners of 2 separate fields - creating shelter and a backdrop for the deer and Emu pens, as well as encouraging wildlife to visit the area.
