Tree Planting in Devon at Maker Heights

Maker Heights / Pigshill Wood, Cornwall overlooks the port of Plymouth on the estuary of the River Tamar, that straddles the Cornwall / Devon border.

* THIS WOODLAND IS Temporarily Full *
We’ve planted so many trees here that there isn’t any space to plant more. We hope to be able to plant here again in future years.
For the nearest alternative woodlands take a look at the Woodlands Locations Map.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

Maker Heights / Pigshill Wood is owned by the Rame Conservation Trust, a buildings preservation charity whose mission is to perserve and restore Maker for the benefit of the local community. The Trust is owned by its members - anyone can join, and every member has an equal say in Maker's future.

The Trust is managed by fifteen volunteer Trustees, appointed by the members, who meet monthly.

(Please note that the postcode above will take you to Maker Heights, however the pin on the google map is more accurate for the woodlands themselves).
