Tree Planting in Dorset at Corncrake Field

Corncrake Field is a 3 hectare field that is bordered by the River Bride in the Dorset village of Burton Bradstock.

IMPORTANT VISITOR INFOTake only photos. Leave only footsteps.

To keep the woodland as natural as possible we don’t label individual trees and we ask that visitors do not place their own plaques, labels, flowers, etc in the woodland. Each tree we plant should be seen as part of a natural woodland.

Before visiting this woodland, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page, which gives you helpful tips about your tree and visitor guidance.

Corncrake Field was purchased by the local Parish Council in 2004 to safeguard the meadows for public enjoyment and to provide a safe haven for wildlife.

The newly planted trees at Corncrake will add cover and structure to the meadow, complimenting the established hedgerows and improving the area's biodiversity.
