Clare Fisheries County Wild Life Site is is a 5 acre site with 3 small lakes. The trees are being planted all around the circumference of the site and also in areas between the lakes, along the pathways, and in some of the open areas.

Formerly an old, neglected spruce plantation a great deal of work has been done to bring the site back to beauty and to make it accessible. There is also a small area of marshland with early flowering marsh orchids.

The new trees will add biodiversity to the area, providing nectar sources for insects or nuts for birds.
